Terms of Use — Motion Detection Camera

Effective October 1, 2026

Motion Detection Camera turns a phone into a motion-triggered camera that can record video and audio. These terms explain what you're responsible for when you use it. By using the app, you agree to them.

In short: you decide what to record and where. You are responsible for following the laws that apply to you and for the recordings you make. We don't see, review, or control your recordings, and we aren't responsible for them.

1. What the app does

The app uses your phone's camera and microphone to detect motion and save clips on your device. Recordings stay on your device unless you choose to back them up to your own Google Drive or share them. We don't receive them. See the Privacy Policy for details.

2. You are responsible for your recordings

You are solely responsible for everything you record with the app and for how you store, share, and use it. This includes:

3. Prohibited uses

Do not use the app to stalk, harass, or spy on anyone; to record people without a lawful basis; or for any unlawful purpose. We may refuse support to, or restrict, anyone who we reasonably believe is doing so, to the extent we're able to.

4. No responsibility for user content

We do not access, monitor, or control what you record. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible or liable for any recording you make, for how you or anyone else uses it, or for any claim, loss, or legal consequence arising from it.

5. Not a safety or security guarantee

The app is a convenience tool. Motion detection can miss events or trigger falsely, and your phone can lose power, connection, or storage. Don't rely on it for protecting life or safety, as a medical or baby-monitoring device, or as your only security measure.

6. Purchases

Pro features are sold through Google Play Billing, and payments, subscriptions, and refunds follow Google Play's terms. Rewarded-video trials are provided as-is, may change, and have no cash value.

7. Warranty and liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or recordings, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under law that can't be limited.

8. If you break these terms

If your use of the app leads to a claim against us because you broke these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable losses from that claim, to the extent the law allows.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. If the update is material, the app may ask you to accept it again, and the effective date above will change. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept it.
